Survived my first day in the office. Who am I kidding, I did more than survive, I had a blast!
I was little nervous at first. You know, the kind of nervousness you have when you go somewhere without your best friend. The situations you know you won’t be able to glance over at them and know they are thinking the exact same thing. You know what I’m talking about. But today I didn’t need that. I was welcomed into the COBA family. On the first day of any new job it is expected that there will be some paperwork to finish up, as well as other odds and ends. Not only do I have my own little office, but I got my own email address! How stinking cool is that?! We finished up paperwork and then the fun began. I was given a tour of the facilities: semen tanks, conference rooms, offices, storage, and everything in between.

My favorite part of the day was being personally introduced to everyone in the office. I was welcomed with smiling faces and a firm hand shake. The day went better than I could have ever hoped! Well…besides when I spilled food on my pants at lunch. Rookie mistake. Note to self-don’t take napkins from lap until finished eating. Luckily I don’t think too many people noticed. As I sit here on my front porch and reflect on how my day went, one key factor sticks out to me. I was a few minutes early to the office, so I sat in my car and I prayed. To be honest, it was not something that I planned to do, but I happened to be compelled. I prayed that I could have a clear mind, think on my feet (which I had been having trouble with the day before), and most importantly that everything would go well. And it did.

Can’t wait to see what the rest of the week will bring!
