J+E Engagement Session

A couple at my church recently asked me to snap a few engagement photos for them.

I have always loved my camera and capturing beautiful moments in time. I could not have been more excited to take their photo!

The session was so much fun! We made a couple stops, with a few quick outfit changes and had PERFECT weather!

They shared with me a little about their journey together and how he popped the question. Although it’s their story to tell, I will say, it’s quite romantic. And it may have a little something to do with this dock at their pond.

We had to do some creative thinking for these shots. Since the dock was gated, I basically needed to be in the middle of the water to take the photos. Luckily they had a canoe near by and a nice brother who was willing to be a captain while I snapped a few photos.

I’m thankful for my experience on the rowing team in college, otherwise I may not have been so willing to hop in a boat with my camera!!

In our time together I found out that their date nights can range from dinners out, to chores on the farm, to everyday life! So naturally we made a stop at the farm for a change of scenery.

My favorite shot, the most technically challenging, was a shot of them on the patio. With a fire blazing at dark in the cool breeze, it just screams “summer night”.

I feel so honored to have had the opportunity to capture some moments that will hopefully serve as lifetime memories for them and their family.

Stay Adventurous my friends!
