Wyoming Wedding Adventure

Last weekend I had the privilege to travel to Wyoming with a high school friend for another friend’s wedding. the two of us flew from Detroit airport to Denver airport, then drove to Casper, Wyoming to see some country. (Also because it was cheaper and we both love to save money.) It was such a bitter sweet time to have us together again for a short time and celebrate the new bride and groom.

I’d like to share some photos of our adventures and some travel tips. Let’s start with the tips:

1. Check that the suitcase you’re going to use is in good condition. I only had one suit case the right size and didn’t notice the zipper was spitting until after I already had it packed. Not to mention this was two days before leaving and there was no time to get a replacement. I was fortunate to make the flight there and back without my things strewn all over the plane compartment.

2. Always triple check the suitcase weight limit for the airline your flying. We made this mistake and landed ourselves a $30 overage fee. Yikes! A cost that totally could have been avoided.

3. When renting a car, make sure the rental company takes appropriate payment. I am under 25 and don’t have credit cards, so I had full intentions of paying for the care rental with my debit card. News to me, most companies won’t rent to anyone under 25 unless they have a credit card, for liability reasons. I have heard that there a few companies that will rent to people under 25 with a debit card, just have to search them out. If I find them, I will update here. Thankfully the friend I was traveling with had a credit card, but it threw off our initial plans of me driving instead of her.

4. Allow plenty of time to get through security and to you gate when flying. My friend and I flew in and out of Denver airport, which is an airport that had a train to take travelers from security to the gates. It was very efficient once we figured out where to go. I also suggest looking at a map of the airport if it’s available to avoid lost time in trying to orient yourself.

Now for the fun part – photos. Enjoy these photos of our travels as well as a few from the beautiful wedding.

Stay Adventurous!
